NZB Standardbred is excited to announce the offering of an additional seven quality weanlings as part of the 2025 National Weanling Sale, set to take place at Karaka's Sale Centre on Thursday 26 June.

In addition to the 82 lots catalogued, seven bonus lots will be offered immediately after Lot 1082.  Six of the weanlings are on account of Victorian-based stud Yabby Dam Farms, who return to Karaka after a successful 2025 National Yearling Sale.

“These weanlings will be a chance for Kiwis to get into some really good bloodlines,” commented Yabby Dam Farms principal Pat Driscoll.

“We’re really happy to support this Sale and looking forward to heading over there very soon.”

NZB Standardbred Manager Cam Bray is pleased with the boost to the boutique weanling sale session.

“The addition of these weanlings with some outstanding pedigrees provides a great opportunity for buyers.”

“We are delighted to sell these quality weanlings for the Yabby Dam team, who have already experienced success selling here, and see the positives around what is happening in New Zealand racing at the moment.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for trainers, end users and pinhookers to take note with the timely boost to this catalogue.”

Brendon Laidlaw will offer one for the first time as a vendor, with a filly by Ultimate Machete in Lot 1086, hailing from the Group One-winning mare Lizzy Maguire (NZ) (Christian Cullen).

Physical copies of the supplementary catalogue will be available at Sale Day Reception or can be downloaded here.  View the full 89-lot catalogue online here or on the Equineline app for tablets.

All weanlings purchased at the 2025 National Weanling Sale at Karaka are eligible to be entered for NZB Standardbred’s lucrative Harness Million Sales Race Series. The Series consists of principal two-year-old and three-year-old races for colts and geldings, fillies and trotters individually, where NZB Standardbred graduates can contest for their share in a one-million-dollar prize pool.
