It is not long now until the weanlings start arriving on the grounds at Karaka for the 2024 National Weanling Sale. Now is the time to finalise your short lists, complete your last-minute research and register to bid to ensure a smooth auction experi
Here is some information and helpful tools to assist you in purchasing your next investment or racetrack star from NZB Standardbred.
PARADES & INSPECTIONS
All weanlings will be available for inspections onsite at the Karaka Sales Centre by the morning of Wednesday 22 May. Informal parades will also be held on Wednesday 22 May:
- B Barn Parade starting with Alabar (NZ) Ltd 1:30pm
- F Barn Parade starting with Woodlands Stud 3:00pm
BUYER REGISTRATION
If you have previously purchased with NZB, simply pop into the Sale Day Office and see the team when you arrive on site to register for the Sale.
If you are purchasing through an agent, fill out the Appointment of Agent form, or for online bidding make sure to create an account, or log back into your existing account here. Please register well in advance of the Sale commencing to ensure you are approved to bid.
SALES PAVILION
The world-renowned Karaka Sales Centre provides the perfect backdrop for buyers.
Along with quality stock on offer, delicious Kiwi food and barista-made coffee is available from the Garden Bar cafe, or pop across to the DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka and check out their signature Horseshoe Bar and Ethereal Restuarant.
BROADCAST
The Sale will be streamed live on our website, online bidding and NZB Standardbred's Facebook page. For those in NZ watching via TV, tune in to Freeview Channel 200.
We will also be showing interviews, behind the scenes and highlights throughout the sale.

AIRFREIGHT, INSURANCE & AUCTION SERVICES
Once you have made a purchase, every aspect can be managed by NZB including airfreight, transport, agistment, insurance, finance and Harness Million nominations.

All weanlings catalogued have been inspected by NZB Agents, who will be able to provide inspection notes and evaluations for buyers, or bid on your behalf.
